General Motors Company (GM) is among the world’s largest full-line vehicle manufacturers. GM designs, manufactures, assembles and sells automobiles, trucks and related parts and accessories. GM became involved again in finance operations through the October 2010 acquisition of AmeriCredit Corp. (subsequently renamed General Motors Financial Company, Inc.). The Company (through GM Financial) also acquired the international operations of auto lender Ally Financial Inc. with a joint venture in China also pending (expected in late 2014).
