Anadarko Petroleum Corporation

Anadarko is one of the world's largest independent exploration and production companies. The Company's U.S. operations accounted for approximately 86% of its total sales volumes during 9M 2017. In addition to significant onshore U.S. operations, Anadarko is one of the largest acreage holders in the deepwater GOM and operates internationally. Furthermore, the Company is engaged in midstream activities primarily through its partnership interest in Western Gas Partners, LP (WES). Anadarko effectively holds a 33% interest in WES, which processes and markets the Company's liquids and natural gas volumes in addition to third-party liquids and natural gas volumes. The Company effectively controls WES through a limited partnership structure, and as a result, the operations of WES are consolidated with Anadarko.
