Northeast Utilities (NU) is a utility holding company whose subsidiaries provide electric and gas transmission and distribution services to 2.1 million customers (1.9 million electric and 205,000 gas) in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. NU’s principal regulated subsidiaries are The Connecticut Light and Power Company (56% of regulated earnings), Public Service Company of New Hampshire (24% of regulated earnings), Western Massachusetts Electric Company (10% of regulated earnings) and Yankee Gas Services Company (10% of regulated earnings).
