DBRS Assigns Issuer Rating to General Motors Corporation of B (high) with a Stable Trend

DBRS has today assigned an Issuer Rating to General Motors Corporation (the Company) at B (high) with a Stable Trend. The Issuer Rating is used as a base for determining the rating of a specific debt issuance. Debt ratings are notched up or notched down from the Issuer Rating based on a specific issue’s recovery expectations relative to the long-term average recovery rate for unsecured debt. This approach and the issuer rating being assigned are consistent with the present DBRS rating on the Company’s unsecured debt.
