DBRS Assigns AAA Rating to Anglo Irish Bank Guaranteed 2010 Notes
Banking OrganizationsDBRS has today assigned a rating of AAA to the EUR1.5 billion 3.625% Senior Notes due 9 September 2010 (the Notes) issued by Anglo Irish Bank Corporation plc. The Notes are covered by the Irish government’s guarantee scheme put in place on 30 September 2008. As such, the rating of the Notes reflects the government’s ability to honour this guarantee as determined by DBRS’s internal assessment of the sovereign.

This is a Corporate (Financial Institutions) Rating.
