DBRS Finalizes Rating on BMO Tier 1 Notes – Series A at A (high)

DBRS has today assigned a final rating of A (high) with a Stable trend to the 10.221% BMO Tier 1 Notes – Series A Due December 31, 2107 (BMO Tier 1 Notes – Series A) issued by BMO Capital Trust II. BMO Capital Trust II is a trust established under the laws of Ontario.

Given the structure of the BMO Tier 1 Notes – Series A, this issue ranks with similar ranking Trust Capital Securities outstanding of BMO Capital Trust, which are also rated A (high) with a Stable trend by DBRS.

The BMO Tier 1 Notes – Series A issue represents a cost-effective means of raising Tier 1 capital.

The rating incorporates information from the Short Form Prospectus dated December 12, 2008.
