DBRS Places ABN AMRO Bank N.V.’s Ratings Under Review with Developing Implications
Banking OrganizationsDBRS has today placed its AA Long-Term Debt and Deposits rating and its R-1 (high) Short-Term Debt and Deposits rating of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. (ABN AMRO) Under Review with Developing Implications. This action reflects the increased uncertainty regarding the timing of any dispositions from RFS Holdings NV, the destination of ABN AMRO’s various debt obligations and the ultimate form of the newly reconstituted Dutch banking business of ABN AMRO. Recently, it was announced that the deal under which Deutsche Bank was to acquire parts of ABN AMRO’s Dutch commercial banking business (the so-called EC Remedy businesses) had been terminated.
