DBRS Rates Ford Motor Company’s New Senior Convertible Notes Issue at CCC, Maintains the Long-Term Ratings Under Review – Positive
Autos & Auto SuppliersDBRS has today assigned a rating of CCC to the $2.5 billion 4.25% senior convertible notes (the Notes) to be issued by Ford Motor Company (Ford or the Company) on November 15, 2009; the rating is Under Review with Positive Implications. The Notes mature on November 15, 2016. The Notes will rank pari passu with any existing and future unsecured senior indebtedness of the Company.
DBRS notes that Ford’s long-term ratings (including the Notes) remain Under Review with Positive Implications, where they were placed on November 2, 2009, following the Company’s announcement of its third-quarter earnings, which were better that DBRS’s expectations. DBRS expects the Under Review status to be resolved within the next few weeks.
