DBRS Releases Updated Credit Union Methodology

DBRS has today released its updated methodology for rating credit unions and credit union centrals.

The methodology includes an overview of the credit union system in Canada as well as details on how DBRS rates individual credit unions and credit union centrals, including such factors as franchise strength, earnings power, funding and liquidity, risk profile and risk management, and capitalization.

The methodology has no impact on DBRS’s current ratings.
