DBRS Letters Comment on Committee of European Securities Regulators Consultation Papers
ABCP, Auto, RMBSDBRS has today commented on the Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) public consultation papers regarding guidance on common standards for assessment of compliance of credit rating methodologies with the requirements set out in Article 8(3) and on enforcement practices and activities to be conducted under Article 21.3(a) of the European Union Regulation on Credit Rating Agencies (EU CRA Regulation).
DBRS is a member of CESR’s Consultative Working Group (CWG), which provides ongoing advice relating to the implementation and application of the EU CRA Regulation and the related rules and guidance. As a member of the CWG, DBRS provides comments on pre-consultation drafts and public consultation papers. DBRS’s comments are provided to ensure that there is clarity in the registration application process and regarding ongoing requirements and supervision.
DBRS plans to apply for registration under the EU CRA Regulation by the end of summer 2010.
