DBRS Rates Talisman Energy’s New Issue at BBB (high) with a Stable Trend

DBRS has today assigned a rating of BBB (high) with a Stable trend to Talisman Energy Inc.’s (Talisman’s) $600 million 3.75% senior unsecured notes (the Notes), maturing February 1, 2021. The Notes are expected to settle on November 12, 2010.

The Notes will rank equally with Talisman’s existing and future unsecured and unsubordinated indebtedness, and the net proceeds from the offering will be used to fund capital expenditures and repayment of existing indebtedness as well as for general corporate purposes.
