DBRS Discontinues Sun Media’s Ratings Following Notes Redemption

DBRS has today discontinued all of its ratings of Sun Media Corporation (Sun Media or the Company) following its early redemption on February 15, 2011, of its 7.625% 2013 Senior Unsecured Notes (Notes). Sun Media announced the redemption of these Notes on January 10, 2011.

DBRS does not anticipate that Sun Media will issue notes at this level in the future, with Quebecor Media Inc and Vidéotron Ltée being the main debt issuers of the Quebecor Media group going forward.
