DBRS Releases Report on Canada Guaranty

DBRS has today released a report on Canada Guaranty Mortgage Insurance Company (Canada Guaranty or the Company) that provides further detail on the recent upgrade of the Company’s Financial Strength rating to AA (low) from A (high).

The Company had been Under Review with Positive Implications since the announcement of the sale of AIGUG Canada on January 5, 2010. The upgrade reflects DBRS’s review of the Company’s capital adequacy as of the end of 2010 in the context of its existing portfolio of mortgage insurance policies and certain qualitative considerations.
