DBRS Publishes Criteria for Financial Ratios & Accounting Treatments

DBRS has today published its criteria for Financial Ratios and Accounting Treatments. This Criteria provides a list of commonly used financial terms and ratios used in DBRS’s corporate reports (excluding financial institutions). It also includes a section on the typical adjustments made to the financial data in deriving the ratios.

The Criteria is intended to assist readers in understanding how DBRS calculates the ratios used in its reports. Any special financial ratios not listed in the Criteria will typically have an explanatory footnote in the respective report. The release of this document has not resulted in any rating changes or rating actions.
