DBRS Requests Comments on Proposed US and European ABCP Methodology

DBRS, Inc., and DBRS Ratings Limited (“DBRS”) are together requesting comments on proposed changes to the methodology they use to rate and monitor U.S. and European Asset-Backed Commercial Paper (“ABCP”) conduits.

Comments should be received on or before December 30, 2013. Please submit comments to the following email address: DBRSSCMethodology_Comments@DBRS.com.

DBRS publishes on its website all comments received except in cases where confidentiality is requested by the respondent.

The proposed revised methodology includes one document, “Asset-Backed Commercial Paper Criteria Report: U.S. & European ABCP Conduits – Request for Comment”

This methodology is intended to supersede the current “Asset-Backed Commercial Paper Criteria Report: U.S. ABCP Conduits” published August 21, 2009.

Compared to the previous methodology, the proposed one clarifies language for European ratings.

The proposed methodology is not expected to have any impact on outstanding ratings.
