DBRS Releases Final US and European ABCP Methodology

DBRS, Inc., and DBRS Ratings Limited (“DBRS”) have today published an updated version of the methodology they use to rate and monitor U.S. and European Asset-Backed Commercial Paper (“ABCP”) conduits.

The methodology update follows the conclusion of the Request for Comment period on December 30, 2013. No comments were received during the comment period, and no material changes were made to the final methodology.

The proposed revised methodology includes one document, “Asset-Backed Commercial Paper Criteria Report: U.S. & European ABCP Conduits.”

This methodology is intended to supersede the current “Asset-Backed Commercial Paper Criteria Report: U.S. ABCP Conduits” published August 21, 2009.

Compared to the previous methodology, the updated one clarifies language for European ratings.

The updated methodology will not have any impact on outstanding ratings.
