DBRS Publishes Updated U.S. Credit Card Asset-Backed Securities Methodology
Consumer Loans & Credit CardsDBRS, Inc. (DBRS) has today published an updated methodology entitled, “Rating U.S. Credit Card Asset-Backed Securities” (the Methodology). The Methodology outlines DBRS’s approach to reviewing credit card transactions and the key factors which could affect the performance of U.S. credit card asset-backed securities.
This update supersedes the previous version published in December 2014. While certain details have been clarified in the Methodology, DBRS does not deem the changes to be material and has determined that no ratings are or will be changed as a result of this update. For example, the updated methodology changed all expected-case citations to base-case terms (i.e., “Expected Principal Payment Rate” to “Base-Case Principal Payment Rate,” etc.).
