DBRS Publishes Updated Global Insurance Methodology

DBRS has today published an update to the methodology “Global Methodology for Rating Life and P&C Insurance Companies and Insurance Organizations.”

This update supersedes the previous version published in December 2015. Changes to this version include the addition of a discussion on DBRS’s approach to evaluating an insurance organization’s support for another entity or subsidiary. Other details have been clarified in this methodology, but changes overall are not material, and DBRS has determined that no ratings have changed as a result of these updates.
