DBRS Upgrades and Confirms SoFi Professional Loan Program Transactions

DBRS, Inc. (DBRS) reviewed 36 ratings from 12 U.S. structured finance student loan asset-backed securities transactions: SoFi Professional Loan Program 2013-A, 2014-A, 2014-B, 2015-A, 2015-B, 2015-C, 2015-D, 2016-A, 2016-B, 2016-C, 2016-D and 2016-E. Of the 36 outstanding publicly rated classes reviewed, 24 were confirmed and 12 were upgraded. For the ratings that were confirmed, performance trends are such that credit enhancement levels are sufficient to cover DBRS’s expected losses at their current respective rating levels. For the ratings that were upgraded, performance trends are such that credit enhancement levels are sufficient to cover DBRS’s expected losses at their new respective rating levels.

The ratings are based on DBRS’s review of the following analytical considerations:
-- Transaction capital structure, proposed ratings and form and sufficiency of available credit enhancement.
-- The transaction parties’ capabilities with regard to origination, underwriting and servicing.
-- The credit quality of the collateral pool and historical performance.
