DBRS Consolidates Two Corporate Finance Methodologies

DBRS published a corporate methodology titled “Rating Companies in the Automotive Manufacturing and Supplier Industries.”

This methodology supersedes and replaces previous versions of two separate methodologies, namely “Rating Companies in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry,” and “Rating Companies in the Automotive Supplier Industry,” both of which were last updated in October 2016.

The updated methodology combines the (essentially unchanged) Business Risk Assessment (BRA) and Financial Risk Assessment (FRA) sections of the two methodologies noted above into one document while eliminating duplication of certain common sections. Changes overall are not substantive and DBRS has determined that no ratings are expected to change as a result of this update.
