DBRS Publishes Updated Rating Public Universities Methodology

DBRS released an updated version of its “Rating Public Universities” methodology.

This update supersedes the version of the methodology that was previously updated and published in May 2017.

In addition to clarifying certain details in the methodology, DBRS has refined the ratio of debt-to-full time equivalent that it uses to measure the indebtedness of a University by indexing it to reflect inflation. Overall, DBRS has determined that the changes are not material and that no ratings will change as a result of this update.
