DBRS Closes Request for Comment Period on European RMBS Insight: Spanish Addendum

DBRS Ratings Limited (DBRS) released its “European RMBS Insight: Spanish Addendum” methodology after the closure of a public request for comment (RFC) period that ended on 24 August 2018, per the press release “DBRS Requests Comments on Proposed Changes to European RMBS Insight: Spanish Addendum”, dated 24 July 2018. DBRS received no comments during the RFC period.

This methodology presents the criteria with which Spanish residential mortgage-backed securities ratings and, where relevant, Spanish covered bonds ratings, are assigned. DBRS updated its house price indexation and market value decline rates to reflect data through Q3 2017. DBRS also updated the Scope and Limitation section of the methodology. This change was deemed not to be material and no rating(s) will change or be changed as a result of the update.

The methodology is effective as of today.
