DBRS Publishes Updated Global Methodology for Rating Non-Bank Financials

DBRS has published the 2018 update of its “Global Methodology for Rating Non-Bank Financials” (previously titled Global Methodology for Rating Finance Companies). The 2018 update has incorporated DBRS’s Global Methodology for Rating Secured Obligations of Non-Bank Financials (formerly Global Methodology for Rating Secured Obligations of Finance Companies), previously a stand-alone methodology. This update has no material analytical changes from the 2017 edition, and therefore no rating changes have followed its adoption. DBRS did not receive any comments on the methodology during the recent Request for Comment period.
