DBRS and Morningstar Credit Ratings Name Leaders for Joint CMBS, RMBS Teams

As the integration process of Morningstar Credit Ratings (MCR) and DBRS progresses, the companies would like to announce Erin Stafford will head the combined North American CMBS Group and Quincy Tang will head the combined U.S. RMBS Group once the teams and operations are combined. Both served in similar positions at DBRS.

Ms. Stafford and Ms. Tang will report to Claire Mezzanotte, who will be the head of Global Structured Finance for the combined company following the successful integration of the two ratings businesses. Ms. Mezzanotte has served in a similar role at DBRS for more than 12 years. Ms. Mezzanotte will report to Detlef Scholz.

Brian Grow, who has been head of MCR, will assume a senior leadership role as the head of U.S. business strategy for the combined entity. Mr. Grow will also report to Mr. Scholz.

On July 2, at the time of the closing of Morningstar Inc.’s acquisition of DBRS, it was announced Mr. Scholz will be named President of the joint ratings business (see related Morningstar Inc. press release: https://newsroom.morningstar.com/newsroom/news-archive/press-release-details/2019/Morningstar-Names-Detlef-Scholz-President-of-Expanded-Credit-Ratings-Organization/default.aspx). He will assume that role August 1.

DBRS and MCR will continue to provide periodic updates about the integration of the ratings business.
