DBRS Morningstar’s Free Viewpoint Platform Available to Identify Risks of Coronavirus Impact on CMBS

DBRS Morningstar’s free-to-use technology platform, Viewpoint, can help commercial-mortgage backed securities (CMBS) market participants quickly navigate their business interests across the United States and Canada amid the current uncertain environment caused by the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and its impacts.

Since the coronavirus arrived in the U.S., DBRS Morningstar has been using Viewpoint to monitor exposure to the most affected property types, sectors, and tenants.

Viewpoint is an online CMBS platform designed to provide greater transparency into DBRS Morningstar’s credit analysis and rating process. Viewpoint is an interactive, data-driven, loan-level platform that provides users with access to DBRS Morningstar presale reports, surveillance updates, transaction information, and contextual loan-level comparable data in a user-friendly manner.

DBRS Morningstar will be hosting virtual office hours each week to share Viewpoint features and answer questions on how the platform may help to identify risk. DBRS Morningstar will offer webinars on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 1:00 p.m. EDT. Viewpoint team members will demonstrate key features of the platform to help with CMBS portfolio analysis.
