DBRS Morningstar Assigns Ratings of A (high) with Stable Trends to Hydro One Inc.’s $1.2 Billion Medium-Term Notes Issues

DBRS Limited (DBRS Morningstar) assigned ratings of A (high) with Stable trends to Hydro One Inc.’s (HOI or the Company) $1.2 billion Medium-Term Notes (the Notes) offering, which is composed of $200 million re-opening of 2.71% (Series 47) due 2050, $600 million 0.71% (Series 48) due 2023, and $400 million 1.69% (Series 49) due 2031. The ratings assigned to the Notes are based on the ratings of other already-outstanding series of Senior Unsecured Debentures.

The Notes will be direct, unsecured obligations of HOI, ranking pari passu with all other unsecured and unsubordinated indebtedness of the Company. Proceeds from the Notes will be used to repay and/or prepay maturing long-term and short-term debt and for general corporate purposes.
