DBRS Morningstar Discontinues Ratings on Class E and Class F Notes of NewDay Funding 2018-1

DBRS Ratings Limited (DBRS Morningstar) discontinued and withdrew its ratings on the Class E and Class F notes issued by NewDay Funding 2018-1 plc (the Issuer).

The discontinuation reflects the cancellation of the Class E and Class F notes on 9 February 2021. The Class E and Class F notes received cash sufficient to repay their outstanding principal of GBP 26.18 million and GBP 22.44 million, respectively. Prior to their cancellation, the ratings on the Class E and Class F notes were BB (low) (sf) and B (low) (sf), respectively.

NewDay Funding 2018-1 plc is a securitisation consisting of credit card receivables originated and/or acquired by NewDay Ltd. in the United Kingdom.

DBRS Morningstar continues to rate the Class A1, Class A2, Class B, Class C, and Class D notes at AAA (sf), AAA (sf), AA (sf), A (low) (sf), and BBB (low) (sf), respectively.

At the time of the initial rating DBRS Morningstar was supplied with third-party assessments. However, this did not impact the rating analysis.

The last rating action on this transaction took place on 18 December 2020, when DBRS Morningstar confirmed its ratings on the Class A1, Class A2, Class D, and Class E notes at AAA (sf), AAA (sf), BBB (low) (sf), and BB (low) (sf), respectively, and downgraded the ratings on the Class B, Class C, and Class F notes to AA (sf), A (low) (sf), and B (low) (sf) from AA (high) (sf), A (high) (sf), and B (high) (sf), respectively.
