DBRS Morningstar Maintains Under Review with Positive Implications Status on Valsabbina SPV 1 S.r.l. (RMBS)
RMBSDBRS Ratings GmbH (DBRS Morningstar) maintained the Under Review with Positive Implications (UR-Pos.) status on the AA (sf) rating of the Class A Notes issued by Valsabbina SPV 1 S.r.l. (RMBS).
KEY RATING DRIVERS AND CONSIDERATIONS
On 21 December 2020, DBRS Morningstar finalised its “European RMBS Insight: Italian Addendum” (the Italian Addendum) and corresponding European RMBS Insight Model (the Model). The Italian Addendum and the Model supersede the Italian Residential Mortgage Addendum of the “Master European Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities Rating Methodology and Jurisdictional Addenda” published on 14 September 2020.
The Italian Addendum and Model present the criteria used to estimate defaults and losses for which Italian residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) and covered bonds ratings are assigned and/or monitored. The distressed sale discount, market value decline (MVD), and foreclosure cost assumptions, which are part of the Italian Addendum, will also be used to rate Italian small and medium-size enterprises and nonperforming loan transactions. Considering the framework, DBRS Morningstar placed the Class A Notes in this transaction UR-Pos. as it was affected by the changes introduced by the Italian Addendum.
DBRS Morningstar extends the Under Review period by an additional 90 days to obtain the latest performance data from the originator to validate certain assumptions made in the credit analysis. Additionally, the extension of the Under Review period will allow time for more performance observations, especially related to the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).
DBRS Morningstar typically endeavours to resolve the status of ratings UR-Pos. as soon as appropriate. If continued heightened market uncertainty and volatility persist, DBRS Morningstar may extend the Under Review status for a longer period of time.
