ESG Factors in Container Terminal Operators

On February 3, 2021, DBRS Morningstar published DBRS Morningstar Criteria: Approach to Environmental, Social, and Governance Risk Factors in Credit Ratings. Of the 17 factors outlined in the criteria, we have identified two environmental, two social, and three governance risk factors that could influence the credit ratings of Container Terminal Operators. In this commentary, we will examine those factors and discuss examples of specific events and risks that we consider in our ratings analysis for this particular sector.
