CMBS
September 07, 2021

DBRS Ratings Limited (DBRS Morningstar) discontinued its ratings on all classes of the commercial mortgage-backed notes issued by Taurus 2020-2 UK DAC, as the underlying loan was refinanced and the notes redeemed in full on 17 August 2021. This concludes DBRS Morningstar’s surveillance of this transaction.

On 16 June 2020, DBRS Morningstar published a commentary outlining how the coronavirus crisis is likely to affect DBRS Morningstar-rated CMBS transactions in Europe. ESG CONSIDERATIONS
A description of how DBRS Morningstar considers ESG factors within the DBRS Morningstar analytical framework can be found in the DBRS Morningstar Criteria: Approach to Environmental, Social, and Governance Risk Factors in Credit Ratings at https://www.dbrsmorningstar.com/research/373262.

Notes:
All figures are in British pound sterling unless otherwise noted.

The principal methodology applicable to the ratings is: “European CMBS Rating and Surveillance Methodology” (26 February 2021).

Other methodologies referenced in this transaction are listed at the end of this press release. These may be found at: http://www.dbrsmorningstar.com/about/methodologies.

A review of the transaction legal documents was not conducted as the legal documents have remained unchanged since the most recent rating action.

In DBRS Morningstar’s opinion, a discontinued-repaid rating action does not warrant the application of the entire principal methodology, as the bond has been repaid in full.

DBRS Morningstar did not rely upon third-party due diligence in order to conduct its analysis.

At the time of the initial rating, DBRS Morningstar was supplied with third-party assessments. However, this did not impact the rating analysis.

DBRS Morningstar does not audit or independently verify the data or information it receives in connection with the rating process.

The last rating action on this transaction took place on 7 August 2021, when DBRS Morningstar confirmed the ratings on the Class A, Class B, Class C, and Class D notes issued by Taurus 2020-2 UK DAC at AAA (sf), AA (sf), A (low) (sf) and BBB (low) (sf), respectively, with Stable trends. The Rating Committee has made a decision not to publish a press release following these rating actions as it has been confirmed that the loan would be refinanced and the notes were to be redeemed in full on 17 August 2021. The refinanced loan formed part of the new issuance under Taurus 2021-4 UK DAC, to which DBRS Morningstar has issued ratings.
