ESG Factors for Public-Private Partnerships

On February 3, 2021, DBRS Morningstar published DBRS Morningstar Criteria: Approach to Environmental, Social, and Governance Risk Factors in Credit Ratings. Of the 17 factors identified in the criteria, there are seven factors that are relevant to the credit ratings of public-private partnerships. In this commentary, we will examine these factors and discuss examples of specific events and risks that we consider in our ratings analysis for this particular sector.
