DBRS Morningstar Posts Webinar Replay on the Dutch Housing Shortage and BTL Market Overview

DBRS Morningstar posted a webinar replay on the Dutch housing shortage and buy-to-let (BTL) market overview. The webinar was hosted by Mudasar Chaudhry, Head of European Structured Finance Research. Chaudhry was joined by Simon Murphy, Vice President, European Operational Risk.

Chaudhry and Murphy discussed the shortage of housing in the Netherlands, the reasons behind it, and the structural challenges in balancing supply and demand in the Dutch housing market. They also discussed the factors fuelling the increased BTL housing market in the private sector and the subsequent government measures introduced to kerb this trend and open up the housing market, particularly to first-time buyers.

The discussion lasted approximately 30 minutes and was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session.
