DBRS Morningstar Publishes Updated Methodologies for Rating Companies in the Consumer Products Industry and Rating Companies in the Merchandising Industry
ConsumersDBRS Morningstar published two updated industry methodologies as follows:
-- “Global Methodology for Rating Companies in the Consumer Products Industry” (September 2, 2022) and
-- “Global Methodology for Rating Companies in the Merchandising Industry” (September 2, 2022; collectively, the Methodologies).
The updates supersede the following previous versions:
-- “Rating Companies in the Consumer Products Industry” (July 26, 2021) and
-- “Rating Companies in the Merchandising Industry” (July 26, 2021).
In accordance with the discussion in the press release entitled “DBRS Morningstar Publishes Five Final Corporate Methodologies and Clarifies Geographic Scope of Certain Corporate Methodologies” dated August 29, 2022, the titles of these Methodologies have changed from the prior year.
The updates are effective as of September 2, 2022. DBRS Morningstar deems the updates not to be material and has determined that no ratings are expected to change as a result of these updates.
