DBRS Morningstar Confirms Ratings on Avant Credit Card Master Trust, Series 2021-1 Asset-Backed Notes

Consumer Loans & Credit Cards
December 01, 2022

DBRS, Inc. (DBRS Morningstar) confirmed its ratings on Avant Credit Card Master Trust, Series 2021-1 Asset-Backed Notes as follows:

-- Class A Notes at AA (low) (sf)
-- Class B Notes at A (sf)
-- Class C Notes at BBB (low) (sf)
-- Class D Notes at BB (low) (sf)

The rating confirmations are based on the following analytical considerations:

-- The transaction assumptions consider DBRS Morningstar’s baseline macroeconomic scenarios for rated sovereign economies, available in its commentary “Baseline Macroeconomic Scenarios for Rated Sovereigns: September 2022 Update,” published on September 19, 2022. These baseline macroeconomic scenarios replace DBRS Morningstar’s moderate and adverse Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic scenarios, which were first published in April 2020.

-- The currently available hard credit enhancement in the form of overcollateralization, subordination, and amounts of deposit in the reserve account, as well as the change in the level of protection afforded by each form of credit enhancement since the closing of this transaction.

-- The ability of the transaction to perform within DBRS Morningstar’s base-case assumptions.

-- The transaction parties’ capabilities regarding origination, underwriting, and servicing.
