DBRS Morningstar Publishes Updated Methodologies for Rating Canadian Provincial, Territorial, and Municipal Governments

DBRS Morningstar published two updated Canadian public finance methodologies as follows:

-- “Rating Canadian Provincial and Territorial Governments” and
-- “Rating Canadian Municipal Governments.”

The updates supersede the following previous versions:

-- “Rating Canadian Provincial and Territorial Governments” (June 1, 2022) and
-- “Rating Canadian Municipal Governments” (April 14, 2022).

The updates are effective as of April 28, 2023. DBRS Morningstar deems the updates not to be material and has determined that no ratings are expected to change as a result of these updates.
