DBRS Morningstar Publishes Updated Global Methodology for Rating Sovereign Governments

On October 30, 2023, Morningstar DBRS published an announcement regarding the Fundamentals Methodology Integration Project (https://dbrs.morningstar.com/research/422623/dbrs-morningstar-announces-fundamentals-methodological-integration-project). In connection with the project, Morningstar DBRS published an updated version of “Global Methodology for Rating Sovereign Governments” (the Methodology). The Methodology supersedes the prior version published on October 6, 2023 and is effective as of July 15, 2024.

The updated version of the Methodology consolidated the “Global Criteria: Government STRIPS Securities,” now included as Appendix D. Morningstar DBRS deems the update not to be material and determined that no ratings are expected to change as a result of this update.
