Morningstar DBRS Posts a Webinar Recording on North America Macroeconomic Update

Morningstar DBRS posted a recording of its North America Macroeconomic Update presentation delivered by the following panelists:

-- Yolanda Ngo, Assistant Vice President, Global Sovereign Ratings

Morningstar DBRS released its semiannual North America Macroeconomic Update. The U.S. and Canadian economies held up reasonably well during the first quarter of 2025 amid rising trade tensions, but trade concerns had a significant impact on growth. Concerns then intensified in early April 2025 with the announcement of Liberation Day tariffs and trade tensions intensifying between the U.S. and China. De-escalatory measures have helped temper initial negative shocks, but policy uncertainty is expected to remain elevated and act as a drag on growth in the second half of 2025.
