Morningstar DBRS Publishes Updated Global Methodology for Rating Insurance Companies and Insurance Organizations

Morningstar DBRS published an updated version of its Global Methodology for Rating Insurance Companies and Insurance Organizations (the Methodology).

The update to the Methodology deletes redundant text related to the assessment of composite insurance enterprises.

Morningstar DBRS has conducted a periodic review of the Methodology. Morningstar DBRS deems the update not to be material and determined that no ratings are expected to change as a result of this update. This update supersedes the previous version published on September 10, 2024 and is effective as of July 16, 2025.
