Sierra Pacific Resources is an energy holding company involved in both electric and natural gas utility operations through two primary subsidiaries: Nevada Power Company, an integrated, regulated electric utility serving approximately 775,000 customers in Las Vegas and southern Nevada, and Sierra Pacific Power Company, an integrated, regulated electric and gas utility providing electric services to approximately 350,000 customers in northern Nevada and natural gas services to 140,000 gas customers in the Reno metropolitan area.
