The University of Toronto (the University) is Canada's largest university, with enrolment totalling 80,000-plus full-time equivalents. Founded in 1827, the University offers a wide array of undergraduate, graduate and professional programs. The University's three campuses in downtown Toronto, Mississauga and Scarborough are located in Canada's largest urban centre, the Greater Toronto Area, which has a population of approximately 6.3 million.
