407 owns 407 ETR Concession Company Limited, which is responsible for the operations, management and expansion of Highway 407 ETR (the Highway) under a 99-year concession expiring in 2098 and a ground lease agreement with the government of Ontario. Highway 407 ETR is a 108 km electronic toll route that traverses the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), the largest metropolitan area in Canada, with a population of about 6.5 million in 2018.
