Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. was created in September 2000 through the combination of three predecessor banks: The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, The Fuji Bank and The Industrial Bank of Japan. With approximately ¥182.1 trillion in assets, Mizuho is the second largest banking group out of the three Japanese megabanks and has three primary operating segments: business banking, trust banking business and securities business.
