DBRS Enhances Rating Transparency with Appendices Summarizing Its Structured Finance Methodologies
ABCP, Auto, RMBSAs part of its ongoing efforts to provide greater transparency in the marketplace, DBRS has today released 11 structured finance methodologies that incorporate a new appendix with detailed tables summarizing the key points of the rating process. The purpose of the summaries is to provide market participants with an easy-to-follow overview of the issues considered for a particular asset class or criteria that form the rationale behind DBRS’s rating opinions.
For the 11 structured finance methodologies released today, there were no changes to the issues considered as part of the existing methodology. Going forward, all structured finance methodologies and criteria will contain a similar type of summary, offering a user-friendly overview of the methodology. These are in addition to six previously released methodologies, bringing the total of structured finance summaries available to 17.
