DBRS Publishes Five Updated Corporate Finance Methodologies

DBRS has today published five methodologies as follows:

(1) General Corporate Methodology;
(2) DBRS Criteria: Evaluating Corporate Governance;
(3) Rating Companies in the Capital Goods Dealership Industry;
(4) Rating Project Finance; and
(5) Rating Companies in the Independent Power Industry.

These updates supersede previous versions published in October 2015 (for the first methodology), June 2015 (for the second and third methodologies) and August 2015 (for the fourth and fifth methodologies). While certain details have been clarified in these methodologies (including the discussion about refinancing risk in the DBRS methodology “Rating Project Finance”), changes overall are not substantive and DBRS has determined that no ratings have changed as a result of these updates.
